Crafted by Cantina Tramin in the heart of Alto Adige, the Stoan is a bold and refined white wine showcasing a vineyard blend of Chardonnay (~65 %), Sauvignon Blanc (~20 %), Pinot Bianco (~10 %) and a touch of Gewürztraminer (~5 %). Grown on stony, limestonerich soils at 400–600 m elevation, the grapes are hand-harvested, gently pressed and matured on the lees in large wood barrels before bottling. In the glass it glows pale straw with green-tinged highlights, revealing aromas of peach, apricot, elderflower, kumquat and jasmine, alongside subtle green pepper leaf and citrus zest.
The palate is layered and vibrant: ripe orchard-fruit richness balanced by driving minerality and fresh acidity, finishing with a refined saline character and superb tension. Ideal served at 12-14 °C, this is a wine of both immediate charm and impressive ageing potential (7–10 years).
