From the sun-drenched slopes of the island of Samos in the North Aegean, this 2017 vintage of Nectar is crafted by the Union of Winemaking Cooperatives of Samos using over-ripe Muscat grapes that have been naturally dried. The wine matures for six years in oak barrels, developing a deep amber-orange hue and a rich aromatic profile of raisins, dried fruits, honey, nuts and a whisper of smoke.
On the palate it balances sweet opulence with lively freshness and minerality, finishing long and elegant. Serve chilled at 12-14 °C, paired with baklava, caramel desserts, roasted nuts or mature blue cheeses.
