This premium white wine from Crete’s Vatolakkos vineyard by Manousakis Winery is crafted from 100% Roussanne grapes, one of the Rhône-varieties that thrives in the Mediterranean climate and schist-rich soils of Chania. The 2023 vintage shows a light gold colour with greenish hues. Aromatically, it opens with white peach, bergamot, honeysuckle and subtle herbal notes.
The palate delivers a rich, textured body with bright acidity, hints of citrus zest, dried flowers and a gentle oak-influence yielding vanilla and almond-skin undertones. Ideal serving temperature is 10-12 °C and it pairs beautifully with grilled sea bream, saffron risotto, or a creamy goat-cheese tart.
