Ca Rugate Valpolicella Ripasso is a structured Italian red wine from the Valpolicella region, produced using the traditional Ripasso method, where Valpolicella wine is refermented on the skins of Amarone grapes. This process adds depth, richness and complexity while preserving freshness and balance.
On the nose, it shows aromas of ripe cherry, blackberry and dried red fruits, supported by notes of spice, cocoa and subtle earthy nuances. The palate is medium to full-bodied with smooth, well-integrated tannins and balanced acidity, leading to a long and warming finish. Its layered style makes it an excellent pairing for roasted meats, braised dishes, pasta with rich sauces and hearty Mediterranean cuisine. Serve slightly below room temperature for best expression.
